The Second Annual
Mike Lichtenstein Summer Classic
You are forever a part of us, Mike and your spirit continues to light our paths.
Please sign-up and denote whether you wish to register to play Wiffleball, be a spectator or volunteer for a brief assignment during the tournament.
The Second Annual Mike Lichtenstein Summer Classic returns to York, Maine in memory of Mike Lichtenstein - our much-loved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, teammate and friend. Because Mike’s cancer is considered “ultra rare,” it is ignored in research funding. Mike hoped to raise money for sarcoma research and also improve the quality-of-life for young adult sarcoma patients who are living with this cancer. In 2026, we have partnered directly with Massachusetts General Hospital for this purpose.
More than just a ballgame and fundraiser, The Mike Lichtenstein Summer Classic is a celebration of Mike’s spirit – courageous, selfless, joyful and positive, with a gift for bringing together the ones he loved.
Fueled by community connection, salty sea air and a little friendly rivalry, we gather to honor Mike in the way he enjoyed best- surrounded by family, friends, good food, music and laughter. In 2026, please consider playing, donating or sponsoring
